BACK PAIN
If the cause of the back pain has an inflammatory component, ACS therapy can be a good and well-tolerated alternative.
If specific causes such as facet joint arthrosis or other indications with an inflammatory component are actually proven for the back pain,
invasive procedures such as injecting anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs near the spine can make sense.

It is assumed that various cytokines, such as IL-1 Ra or IL-10, have an inflammation-solving influence on certain aseptic (= not germ-triggered) inflammatory processes. [1] This is where autologous cell therapy “Autologous Conditioned Serum (ACS)” comes in. In the production of autologous conditioned serum (ACS), the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines is stimulated and the serum is also enriched with growth factors. [2] This “conditioned” serum from the patient’s blood is injected into the affected joints or, for example, also into mechanically compressed spinal roots, where it can exert a corresponding positive effect. The body’s own protective proteins can have an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and cartilage-protective effect. [3]
Especially in patients with back pain who do not tolerate cortisone well or want to avoid side effects,
ACS therapy can be a good alternative treatment option to resolve inflammation and relieve pain.
