Facial Rejuvenation

One of the most popular uses for autologous blood therapies is for facial skin rejuvenation, both in the form of dermal injections as in topical application during microneedling.

PROCESS OF SKIN AGEING

The process of skin aging has several effects on dermal fibroblasts, such as an overall decrease in fibroblast numbers, decreased production of collagen and other important matrix proteins, a slowed keratinocyte turnover rate, and a marked disappearance of epidermal hyaluronic acid.

These have a major impact on our complexion and finally lead to the unloved visible signs of skin ageing. Aging skin develops wrinkles, is less resilient and pliable and looks thinner, paler and clear (translucient). Depending on the indication, various regenerative therapies are used in facial rejuvenation, in particular PRP and ACS.

PRP in facial rejuventation

Subdermal injection of PRP (also known as “vampire lifting”) can activate the body’s natural self-healing processes and thus improve outer skin appearance. Skin appears fresher and firmer, regaining its` natural glow.

PRP stimulates the proliferation of dermal fibroblasts and helps induce their production of type I collagen. In addition, activated PRP is associated with increased expression of MMP-1 and MMP-3 proteins. These proteins are thought to play a crucial role in dermal remodeling of aged skin as they provide a good foundation for new collagen deposition.

ACS in facial rejuventation

Another treatment in facial rejuvenation is the use of cell-free autologous conditioned serum (ACS), often also referred to as “unicorn lifting”. This therapy addresses the skin´s chronic inflammatory response, one of the main factors in skin ageing, which reduces tissue quality and thus contributes to the classic signs of skin ageing as wrinkles and a tired complexion.

ACS helps reduce these inflammatory factors, pushes cell regeneration and improves the skin’s collagen and moisture content.

Removement OF DARK PIGMENTATION

Regenerative medicine such as PRP is successfully used for the treatment of dark circles under the eyes. Treatment with PRP under the eyes can repair the weakening layer of collagen and elastin in the skin. As a result, the skin regains its elasticity and fills in to fill the hollows under the eyes. PRP induces the production of new blood vessels in the skin, providing a fresh supply of oxygen and nutrients. These nutrients remove dark pigmentation and melanin and let the skin glow again. Improved skin metabolism removes dead and dying cells. At the same time, the unwanted fat cells burn, resulting in smoother skin.
